If you have already logged on the server and it did not ask you to download the texture pack automagically, then all you have to do is re-log! As long as you have server texture Enabled, it will ask you if you want to download the pack. Click yes!
If Minecraft is crashing when you try to download the texture pack when first logging on, follow these steps:
1. Go to your .minecraft folder
2. Create a new folder and title it "server-resource-packs"
3. Open Minecraft and try again! It should work this time!
If you are still having trouble getting the resource pack to load properly, you can add the pack into your Minecraft manually. Here's how:
1. Go to your .minecraft folder
2. Go into your server resource packs folder
3. Copy the Potterworld one somewhere easy to access
4. Click to edit the name of the file and add a "." period before the word "zip" in the name
5. Add that file to your resource packs folder in minecraft and enable it
Using the texture pack in this way along with having the automatic pack enabled will ensure that you see all textures all the time and still get the updates that happen frequently.
If you are still having issues getting the resource pack after trying all of these options, please contact us here.
What do I do if I see blocky letters in the texture pack?
Please see the Misc section for this answer!
How do I get staff help?
We use a ticket system that allows you to create a ticket that a staff member will pick up as soon as they can. You can request staff help by doing this command: “/t create [your message here]”
All online staff members will be notified, but please be patient because not everyone may be free or able to help you right away. Your ticket will be picked up as soon as possible, and a staff member will message you to help answer your question.
If your problem is solved before a staff member can help, you can do “/t list” to close your own ticket.
The available commands are:
/t create [your message] --> Create a ticket
/t list --> View and close your open tickets

How Classes and Credits Work
In order to advance through Hogwarts, you must earn two different types of Credits, Academic Credits and Test Credits. You will use these credits to unlock spells as you advance through the years. These Credits are digital credits that are connected to your use profile and cannot be exchanged.
Do ‘/acbal’ to check your Credit balance!
Test Credits (or TC’s) can be earned by taking tests. Tests change at the beginning of every month. You will be able to take the test based off of what year level you are. Taking and passing these tests will earn you TC's. Tests can be taken by shift-right clicking a Large Book (daylight sensor) which can be found in various locations around Potterworld.
Academic Credits (or AC’s) can be earned by attending regular classes. We have classes scheduled every day. All you have to do is be online when the class comes on. Look in chat for the notification that the class will start and click where it says HERE. You can then go to the Great Hall and click the Classes Teleport sign, which will teleport you to the class you just joined.
During class, the Professor will teach a lesson on their subject of choice and then give an assignment that you will have to pass in order to get an AC. You gain AC’s by doing the assignment given and passing it.
The grades are as follows:
O = Outstanding
E = Exceeds Expectations
A = Acceptable
P = Poor
D = Dreadful
T = Troll
All Professors require an A or higher in order to pass a class. If you pass a class, you will receive an AC. Following rules and directions is a big part of passing a class, not just the assignment. Part of the magic of our server is to give everyone the Hogwarts experience, so please always respect the other students as well as staff.
Do the command "/nc" to view when the next class will be.
What are Daily Academic Credits and how do I get one?
Everyday there will be a hidden chest somewhere on the server. We will put up a short riddle to give some hints to its location. Inside the chest will be a House Crest item (rabbit foot). Take this House Crest to the Trophy Room where you learn spells. There is a Daily Reward NPC where you can exchange the House Crest for an Academic Credit (AC). Once you have the item, hold it in your hand and push your DROP button. (Q by default) Dropping the AC item will give you one AC credit digitally.
Classroom Style and Etiquette
Make sure you have a book & quill before class. The Professor will start the class and you join. Take a seat in their classroom and follow their instructions. The layout goes as follows:
4. Grading and Dismissal
5. Homework (optional)
A Professor can assign homework for students to work on after class. They can then use the mail system to send their finished homework to the Professor. The Professor then grades the paper and, if they pass the Professors standards, they get another AC. This gives good students the chance to earn 2 AC's per class.
Each Professor has different standards when it comes to homework. Some Professor's will accept A or higher, some will only accept O's. Please make sure you are aware of this when doing the homework assignment.
As a student, you are expected to follow the rules. Most Professors have the same rules in thier class:
-Use the /rh command to raise your hand. Do not speak unless called upon.
-Use /turnin to hand in your work.
-Keep all questions and comments class-related and appropriate.
-Stay seated unless otherwise instructed.
-Keep your wand away. No casting at all.
-When you get the assignment, do not sign your book.
-Make sure your name is written in your book.
-Do not use the wiki without permission from the Professor.
-Always respect staff and students alike.
Please remember that all times are posted in PST timezone! Enjin can convert the times for you if you set your timezone in your profile settings.
FAQ: Why can’t I get into class?
If you clicked to join the class and it did not work, this could be for a few reasons.
Due to the amount of students we get for a class, we have to set a limit as to how many students can join. It is a first come, first serve basis. If you missed the class, don’t worry! There will be many more classes. We have an average of one class every two hours!
How Spells and Leveling Up Work
All spells have 7 levels. The spell will improve with each level and make it more powerful. Each level for a spell will be unlocked to be learned when moving on to the next year.
All spells will be “leveled up” by successfully casting them! The spell will only do damage if you successfully hit a mob or player, this is the only way it will count as a successful cast!
When you first unlock spells, all spells will have a chance to “Fizzle”, which means it failed to cast. This makes it more realistic! As you level up your spells, the chance to fizzle diminishes till you succeed every time. Some spells will also increase in power, damage, size, etc. All spells have a “Cast Counter” that internally counts the number of times you successfully casted that spell. After reaching the set “cast requirement” for each spell level, the spell will automatically level up! You will get a message saying what has changed about the spell.
Some spells like Lumos don’t require a target to practice casting. They are all different so have fun and experiment with it.
Spells can only increase in level up to your current Hogwarts year! This means if you are a year 3 and you have the spell Arrow, you can only level Arrow up to Level 3 and can’t level it up further until you’re a higher level; maxing out at 7.
How Credits and Spells Work Together
There will be two NPC’s in the Trophy Room. The Spells Master and Cast Counter.
The Spells Master will be used to unlock spells using your AC’s and TC’s. Hold your wand and right click Spells Master. This will open a GUI. You can click a spell to unlock it with your AC’s and TC’s.
Cast Counter will be an NPC that shows your Cast Counter for every spell you have.
1. You do not need to max your spells to graduate each year.
2. Spell Levels will not transfer if you get a completely new wand (not to be confused with a wand appearance).
3. We have added new spells into the system! If you are already graduated, you will still be abled to get these spells with AC’s from the Spells Master.
Year One - Flagrate (Comes with wand)
- Flipendo (Comes with wand)
- Arresto Momentum
- Four Point Spell
- Lumos Solem
- Wingardium Leviosa
Year Two - Alarte Ascendare
- Arania Exumai

Year Four - Accio
- Bubblehead Charm
- Locomotor Mortis
Graduate - Anti Apparate

How do I earn money?

Completing certain Ministry Mini Games will award you a certain amount of money.
Sell potions you made to the NPC in Diagon Alley’s Cauldron Shop.
You can rent shops and sell things to other players.
You can trade items with other players.
Why should I use the Banker at the magical bank and how do I do it?
We use digital currency on our server. Every player automatically has a bank account with the banker.
Once you earn galleons, you can then use them to purchase things around the server, such as vaults, houses, shops, or items from player shops.
When you buy something, the cost of the item will be taken away from your account balance.
What is a vault and how do I buy one?
Vaults are used as a storage option in addition to ender chests and housing plots.
In order to get a bank vault for storing items, you’ll have to go to the Wizard Bank in London. Go inside, towards the back where there is a spiral staircase leading downwards. A Banker NPC is located there, and if you right click it, you’ll be shown a GUI with options for buying vaults at starting prices of 16 gold (the prices go up for the more vaults you buy.)
When buying a vault, start with the lowest number (all vaults are the same sizes).
Once you have purchased a vault you can venture down to the bank vaults. Go down the stairs and you will find yourself at the mine tracks.
A chest is found there containing mine carts, use one on the tracks and stay in the cart until you reach the place where signs are telling you to exit the cart.
You will find two open vaults, you can go into either one and you will see another Banker NPC (it’s an exact copy of the previous one - selling vaults).
In each of the open vaults you’ll find signs saying “Vault 1”, “Vault 2” and so on. The prices of each vault is also listed there, but you need to purchase each vault at the Banker NPCs.
In order to open your vault, right click the sign and it will open up the storage GUI.
How do I trade between players?
We use a trading plugin that make trading straightforward, fair, and easy to use!
To begin a trade, shift and right-click the player you wish to trade with, or type "/trade [IGN of username who you want to trade with]". This command will send a request to the player you wish to trade with. The request will appear in the chat, where you will see a message appear such as "[Username] wants to trade with you; CLICK HERE" or use "/trade accept".
The trade will only work if you are within 17 blocks of the player you wish to trade with. If the request is not answered within 40 seconds it will timeout, and you will have to send the request again.
Once you accept the trade request, a GUI will appear on the screen with icons on the top left that you can click on to add and remove money from the trade. If trading items, you can drag the item into the GUI to offer a trade. On the top right side of the GUI there is an icon that tells you how much money is being offered in the trade. In order to accept the trade, you click the green wool and to decline either click the red wool or press the ESC key.

Why do I keep crashing from the server and how do I fix it?
Try turning all of your minecraft video settings down.
Turn your render distance to “short”
Smooth Lighting: Minimum
Downloading the mod Optifine also helps your computer run the server on Minecraft, and gives you more video setting options that you can change. Optifine can be downloaded here. Make sure to get the latest version.
As a last resort, go to your Multiplayer server list, click on the server, and click “Edit”. This will open the settings for the server. By default, one of the settings will say “Server resource Packs: Prompt”. Click this until it says “Disabled” instead of “Prompt”. This will stop the server from using the texture pack. While this may reduce issues with lag, the reason it is a last resort is that the server’s design is heavily based off of the texture pack, and the experience can be diminished by not using it.
How do I get this map downloaded?
We do not allow our map to be downloaded! It is a serious offense to download our map and is insta-bannable!
How do I get the plugins from this server?
We do not share any information about our plugins.
I have an idea for the server. How do I tell you guys about it?
We love when our players can give us ideas and suggestions on how to better our server. Please use this format below to give us an idea!
What it would require:
Would this require a plugin?
If your idea would require a new plugin, please specify that. Making a plugin, even a small simple one, takes a lot of time and mental energy. It's also important to remember that all plugins have to work well together in order for the server to run smoothly and efficiently. The more plugins you add, the bigger the puzzle it becomes. Unfortunately, we do not have enough developers to work on every single plugin that would need to be created in order to implement all of these cool ideas. The developers we do have spend a majority of their free time coding for our server and have a huge hand in making the server everything that it is.
So we thank you guys so much for all of the ideas and the patience you display in working with us on bettering the server.
